Matheus Seabra

Hello. I'm Matheus

I'm passionate about building great interactive experiences.

About me

As a Software Engineer with over 5 years writing code for client and server applications, I had the privilege of working with small to medium software engineering teams from Fintechs to Edtech, helping to build products that are fast, scalable and maintainable, while meeting user's needs and business requirements.

Over the years, I have been refining my problem-solving skills around the full lifecycle of products, from research and planning all the way to testing and deployment. Furthermore, I acquired experience collaborating with product managers, backend engineers, designers, QA testers as well as stakeholders and clients.

Feel free to check out my portfolio and GitHub. Email me if you think I'm the right fit and we should be working together on interesting projects.

Experience & skills

User Experience Design

A great User Experience to a large extent influences user decision-making. UI is all about telling a story, using elements to guide users through that story.

  • Wireframing
  • Balsamiq Mockups
  • Adobe XD
  • Sketch
  • Figma
  • Information Architecture
  • Sitemaps

Client-side Development

Load-time has never been more important. After 3 of seconds of waiting, users are leaving the website. That is why a performance-driven approach to client-side development is essencial to reduce bundle size and optmize user engagement, helping users to get more done.

  • HTML 5
  • CSS 3
  • JavaScript (ES6+)
  • TypeScript
  • Third-party APIs
  • Performance Optmization

Server-side Development

Writing production-ready code that works across devices and browsers became a must for meeting business requirements and user needs, following current web development standards and best practices.

  • Python
  • Node.js
  • ORMs
  • PostgreSQL Server
  • MongoDB
  • JWT, Basic Auth, HTTP Protocol

Testing, Bundling & Deployment

Testing Driven Development (TDD) reduces the number of bugs released during deployment, making it critical to ship effective applications to production.

  • Jest, Cypress, Mocha
  • Webpack, Gulp
  • Docker
  • Netlify, Heroku
  • Git
